Hi there, I live in South Florida (Broward County to be more specific) and after switching to tubs from a glass tank, now I have a problem with too much humidity inside the tubs.
The 28qt Sterilite tubs are sitting on top of 4" flexwatt, just for your info. The probe under the warm side hide it reads 91-93, Cool side is running 78-82 depending on A/C.
Now here comes the problem, I burned 24 holes on each tub, each about same distance from each other, except where the "handles" are, there are no holes there. Humidity in my room is about 60% average. When I close the tubs, humidity starts climing to Up to 80%. Now that was using 6" water bowls. Last nite I grabed 2 of those asian looking 4" ceramic bowls and switched out the 6"s. Humidity started going up but no where near as fast as the 6"s. 30 minutes after I went to bed. I woke up this morning and Humidity was back at 80%. Now I know the 50-60% humidity is just a standart, but 80% seems like a bit much for me and the snakes to be confortable with
Now Im guessing I need more holes? Any other Ideas would be appreciated
IF I need more holes, where should I burn them without affecting too much the Temperatures and how many??
Thanx!
