Surprise - Hatchlings
Well our female Bearded Dragon has had four clutches this year. My boyfriend decided to try and incubate them as we found our female and male out of their enclosures one night and figured they probably made the most of their escape.
Since we don't really have a real incubator he rigged a small cooler with vermiculite and just left it in the reptile room which stays pretty warm. First clutch was a bust. Nothing. Second clutch was the surprise. Went in one day and just thought lets check the cooler/incubator and what do we find.
A little head sticking out of an egg.

Later that day we got our first baby.

So far we've got four to hatch out. They are now running around chasing and eating crickets like crazy.
Here are the first three in a temporary enclosure until we ran out and bought a tub. It's just a cricket keeper we put inside the tortoise pool since it had a heat lamp attached.

And then some individual pictures. One was very feisty at first.

Hopefully the rest hatch out, but if not we at least got these four little ones.
Thanks for looking.
