The unofficial newbees guide to forum lingo...

Keep seeing the same questions over and over and over again. So here is the unofficial guide. Please feel free to add whatever I have forgotten or fix whatever I messed up.

Maybe once we get a complete list we can get our mods to put together a BP.net specific dictionary....

.) 2.3.1 = 2 males, 3 females, and 1 unknown sex.

.) LOL = You made me laugh out loud.

.) LMAO = You made me laugh my A## off.

.) Dinker = snake that looks different then a normal, and the keeper plans to breed it to see if the not so normal trait is genetic.

.) ASF = African Soft Furred Rat. http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=70828

.) DUW = This thread has lots of pictures so if you have dial up internet service you better leave it alone or your computer might die.

.) Het, dominant, codom, recessive, hypo, Morph = Not going to try to explain it here, look at this guide: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=52847

.) BP = Ball python silly!

.) OMG = Oh My God!

.) Flexwatt = Heat tape. http://www.reptilebasics.com/Flexwatt-FAQ-sp-4.html

.) tub = a Tupperware container that is used as an enclosure to keep snakes in.

.) Rack = a shelf like structure that holds multiple tubs to keep snakes in.

.) FYI = for your information

.) WTB = Want to buy

.) F/T = a term used for feeder rats or mice that means you buy them frozen, then thaw them out at feeding time.

.) FS = for sale

.) Paradox = Usually a morph that has a visual feature that is very different then the norm.... a fluke of nature that likely will not be repeated.

.) DIY = Do it Yourself

.) UTH = under tank heater

.) CHE = Ceramic Heat Emitter
