I wrote a song...
I started writing this song a few months ago. It's called "Love is a Social Construct." I started writing it with this one girl in mind... but after I got to know her a little bit more, it turns out she has a boyfriend...
I have some guitar playing that I do with it but I can't really get it going on here. But let me know what you think, the chorus changes a little throughout the song, the structure is Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, half verse, chorus
I got new shoes, under my two feet,
they're a little bit dirty, and that's alright with me.
I've got an old hat, on top of my coat rack,
I wear it when the sun shines, and that's alright with me.
I've got time to kill, on a Saturday night.
thinking of you, what a pretty sight.
Your eyes, your smile, you know I want it all,
too bad people don't fall... in love.
I want your hand, in the palm of mine,
maybe if I'm lucky, that will come with time.
I hope you think, of me when you're alone,
and I wonder if it's alright, if I think of you.
I've got time to kill, on a Saturday night.
thinking of you, what a pretty sight.
Girl you know you look so good,
I would love you if I could.
I see you and I start shaking.
You got my heart palpitating.
I been thinking about this all day
I want to come to you to say:
Hey, hey hey... How are you doin'?
You want to sit down and talk? Cause I'd like to get to know you.
I've got some time to kill on Saturday night,
I want to see you, and I just might.
Pick up your phone cause you know I'll be calling
but I don't want to say that I am fallin'... in love
