Ok, when i first got my snake, I bought a half log hide. I know it was a bad idea. I didn't realize it because I didn't find this site until after the fact. So, I took some small cereal bowls and cut some holes in them. However, it's been two days, and she has yet to use them.those who don't know already i have a 55 gal so plenty of space. I did leave the half log in just to fill some space. She still uses the half log, or just sleeps under a branch. the bowls are an opaque blue, so maybe too much light gets into them?? I'm going to pait them this weekend with something textured and try again. But should I remove the half log and see what happens? I don't want her to feel like she has to use the bowls. General info: 90 - 92 on warm side, 82-84 on cool side, with an ambient of about 85-87. Humidity is a constant 50-55%. Any suggestions?
