    Re: too late to breed?

I don't think it's too late, either. I just started pairing one of my females up who was on the smallish side; I figure, if I stagger things, then I will have a less-crowded incubator at any given time, and also, babies at different sizes/stages. But that's just me and my weird way of doing it!

Oh and Doris dear, turnabout is fair play. I could have posted in response to your thread titled "too late to breed" something like....

Doris what you do in your private life is your business!

    or

I don't know dear, do you think you're too old?

    LOL

    Re: too late to breed?

Its never too late too breed unless she's already ovulated!!
My rule is to keep breeding any slackers at a slower pace once the main breeding season is over. The males love it!! lol
I try to keep humidity as high as I can with breeders. Its not easy when the air up here is usually only 10-20% humidity.

    Good luck!

    Re: too late to breed?

well now.. I don't think she's ovulated because as far as I know she's never been placed with a male before... doesn't the introduction of a male as well as copulation bring on the ovulation? :scratches head: I gotta go reread breeding information.
