Weeelll... would it be so bad if I admit that I don't get it either? I mean, yeah, we have 3 bps - all different colors - but that's because I love making their vivariums - it's like Decorating the house, ya know? The boys are the ones that like the snakes themselves. But, as far as having a "pet" snake... weeeelll... I'm more liking the rats. Oh! I love the western hognose. He's one cool doode with a lot of personality - hissy, fake strikes, everything! And he's out and about during the day. But then, I still couldn't bring myself to touch that hissy booger!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Yeah and then every time you take them out they poop on you

They are pretty to look at though. And it's hilarious to pull a big tough guys into your snake room and see them squirm "I'd rather not hold it"

Re: Ball Pythons... Why people bother to like them?

    I didn't LOL I LQTMS.
But seariously little boogers are addictive, I had one for a year, now all of a sudden I have 7 and I'm waiting on eggs.

I have yelled "I smite thee"
Stupid rat bit me on feeding day now that rat is in my BP's tummy.

After all, if you have animals, does that not make you the god of your animal's lives?
Bring food, water, choose when they can breed, and death (at least to the rodents)
