hi i rescued a leopard gecko from a family that could no longer keep her cause they were moving any way she is like 7 inches long but real skinny and shes blind and has to be hand fed whats the best way to fatten her up

but she's blind? any idea how that happened?

Sorry to hear that she's blind, give her wax worms along with the crickets she'll put on weight quickly. My little rescue put on 6 grams in 5 days

if you can find butterworms at a local pet store, you are better off trying to get her eating those. waxworms are alright, but they are a lot of fat and not a lot else. butterworms are mostly protein, which will really be of more use to her than the straight fat alone...

You can also make a "slurry" that is easier to feed from a syringe, rather than having to force feed her bugs. You can make this using

Repti-aid insectivore powder, (1/2 tsp)
peach or apricot baby food (1/4 tsp)
splash of pedialyte (1 1/2 tsp)
well squished up 2 week crickets 5-10

mix this all together well and draw it up into a syringe, drip a drop on the end of her nose and let her lick it off, or let her lick the syringe end. This method is way less stressful for her than forcefeeding her whole insects, and will put weight on her faster and more healthfully than waxworms alone.

she tries to just walk off the table and she cant see crickests to eat them and if one touches her she acts supprised you can definatly tell
