    You want what??

Today on my failure to locate ASF I was kind of wierded out with the store lady's/man's reactions. The pet stores that had them had no idea they were used as feeders! They are apparently deemed exotic like button quail($35 each!) and marked up just the same! Are you able to get ASF from your local stores?

    Re: You want what??

There are 2 reptile stores close to me that carry them - but everytime I called them, they are always out of the medium or large size. I asked Mike C to supply them but he says they pay so cheap that it's not worth it. At that time, Mike was headed to Georgia and froze all his large ones, so I went looking for them at the pet stores.

not really found them locally I got some from the guy I purchased my ablino and het axanthic bps from . I think the closest around me are called fancy mice then they run about 15 bucks each. I been temped to sell a bunch of the extra stock I got to the store but I kno whe won't give me a deal or anything on them. The guy trys to play cool and knowledge but he no smarter than any other petshop employee that relays on the print outs for their knowledge.

    Re: You want what??

Theres a couple who've carried them. The easiest way to find them around here is the reptile shows.
I wonder where they would be on the cites?? I know I have sold geckos to a few people over by you and they have been able to bring them over no problem. If they would allow them over we could maybe try to work someething out.

    Re: You want what??

No stores in minnesota I know of carry them.. Twin Cities Reptiles I think carries frozen ones as feeders(though i don't know how well supplied they are) but none are live.

A lack of local reptile shows means they are pretty impossible to find locally. I'd have to drive 4 hours or more to find them from my research, or luck out on craigslist.

    Re: You want what??

I found a reptile store that had a few, I bought them to add to my Mike C. collection. He got them in as a fluke that he traded out to someone, for the primate food they needed. They had not sold so I bought what he had.

    Re: You want what??

I found a guy today on kijiji that sold me a trio for $12. These are well bred(at least taken care of) as they don't bite. He told me if I need just a feeders right away he'll supply them.In Alberta they are extremly popular as they can't keep rats or mice since they are banned. You can't even find them frozen so I hit a jack pot!
