    crazy mom rat!!

Ok this rat was a bad mom yesterday but now decided to adopt! We were tring to feed mt ball a live just weened rat to my BP and he refused it. We have had it for a week and it hasn't really grown much but turned out to be a sweety and our mature male was taken out as he was way too nippy. I placed them in the tank and the mom grabed the rat and forced him into her nest. Her babies are just tiny and I guess he keeps them warm. It's just nuts as this little guy has been alone for a bit. He's not being hurt but it's been interesting to see.
    Too many pets to list!

    Re: crazy mom rat!!

I have fostered mice, rats, and ASFs to nursing females.

    They are amazing parents.

Hope it works out well for you.
