yellowbelly pricing
I think i have decided to buy a Yellowbelly as my first morph. I can't find anyone who has them for sale. (I AM NOT ADVERTISING TO PURCHASE ONE ON HERE.) The tampa show is coming up in a couple of weeks and i was wondering if anyone could give me an apx price range. what's a good price for a yb? since i cant currently find one, i wouldn't be surprised to find out that they are uberexpensive in which case i'd have to trethink my plans. I just don't have a clue.
thanks

Re: yellowbelly pricing
$90-$120 is average from what I see. Even seen some as low as $75.

Re: yellowbelly pricing
I think that price range is for a male. Females would be more expensive.

Re: yellowbelly pricing
i would definitly need a female.
from what i have read, and i just want to verify. YB is co-dom meaning that i can breed to a normal and have 50:50 chance of getting yb;s and normals. right?
and, eventually breed an offspring back to the mother and make ivories? \
goodness it makes me weak in the knees just thinking about it.

Re: yellowbelly pricing
I'm talking to a guy right now about getting 2.0 yellow bellies and 0.1 pastels for $275 shipped. I'm looking everywhere to find a yellow belly female that should be able to breed by next year and I find them actually hard to come by, and when I do they are a bit expensive. Get one though and hopefully Ivories.

You will pay more for a breedable weight (or close to breedable weight) female of any morph. That's why if my babies don't sell right away, it doesn't pain me to keep them and grow them up and sell them when they are bigger. And because there aren't a lot of breedable weight morph females available for sale, that also adds to their value (supply and demand).
