Re: Some of the farm animals
Yes we do breed them. We register the females not the males. Not a big demand for the males so they go off to auction and the females go to Longhorn auctions.

I love being out there! It is so peaceful other than the 100 dogs barking lol! But when they are quiet and you hear the cows in the far field and the roosters crowing... Its great!
Good luck with your dream! I would love to have a place like that as well. This property is the rescues... all the animals except the cows are rescues.

And you have goats! Boers and a nubian? They look so sweet.
I have goats and poultry. I plan on getting guineas eventually. Is it true about them being dumber than rocks?
You can see all my critters on my site. I'll be sure to post when our new kids arrive.
There only pretty when there rugs!! LOL. I prefer my cattle with big bones, lots of muscle, and lots of hair.

Re: Some of the farm animals
I love the longhorns and they are actually very docile. Our bull is like a teddy bear! We do have a couple cows who are the biggest pains in the rear end though. We just have to watch our backs... they will charge you and your truck!
And yes we have goats. I am not sure what the white ones are but the brown one is a Nubian. Her name is Scarlett.
And yes guineas are dumb! We started out with 12 and the one pictured is the only one left. They are good at eating ticks and bugs though! They are good for security as you will know when something changes... someone coming in the drive way, some one walking by, the cows in the wrong field or the pigs playing too rough... well you get the picture..lol.

My favorite animals also! We show cattle, and I cant get enough of it. The bulls above are very nice bulls, heat wave has sired many majors grand champions.
