temperature fluctuation
Hey
I have a question regarding temperature fluctuation in my tank.
What is the most the tank should fluctuate during the day?
On the hot side it seems to vary between 89 F and 94 F
It seems like this is too much.
any suggestions and replies would be gretaly appreciated
Thanks

Re: temperature fluctuation
What is your heat source? How are you controlling it? How are you measuring it?
Generally, your hot side shouldn't fluctuate more that +or- 3 degrees

Re: temperature fluctuation
Temps should not fluctuate unless you're not using a controlling device, or have a rheostat instead of a thermostat.
EVERY snake enclosure needs a thermostat to control the heat. Without it, temps fluctuate at best and spike to over 100 at worst.
Let us know the rundown of your tank: heat source, how it's controlled, how you measure temps, substrate, etc. With that info, we can help you reduce fluctuations.
