Re: questions newbie to morphs
A het Ghost is a normal looking ball python that is a genetic carrier of the ghost gene. It is different than a basic normal.
If you breed your pastel to your het ghost, you would get pastels 50% het ghost, and normals 50% het ghost.

Re: questions newbie to morphs
A 100% het ghost is a snake that carries the gene for the ghost morph (also called hypo), but the morph is not visible in the snake because that morph requires a matched pair of genes to be visible. The snake will appear normal.
Technically, a pastel is het also, because it carries the pastel gene, but not a matched pair. The difference is with a pastel, a single gene is visible as pastel. If it had the matched pair, it would be a super pastel.
If you bred the 2 together, you would expect to get 50% pastels and 50% normals, in terms of the snakes' appearance. All of them would also have the possibility of being het ghost, but it would be impossible to know which ones were and which ones weren't. They would be called 50% possible hets, because they have a 50/50 chance of carrying the ghost gene.

Re: questions newbie to morphs
I know you got some questions about morphs answered, but here's a good read, very important, but basic, stuff to know about ball python morphs if you're looking to get into breeding!
http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=52847
As for where to look online for pastels, you can look at kingsnake.com for classifieds(though I don't ever look at that site for various reasons), or look at websites owned by individual breeders who list their stock up for sale online. If you look in the column to the left on this webpage, you'll see links to some guys like Adam at 8 ball pythons, ralph davis etc.
Other big breeders are New England Reptile Distributors.. umm.. I'm kind of tired and not able to think of more off the top of my head. I'm sure other people will chime in
A few important things about picking out a snake to buy online: make sure you buy from a reputable breeder(one who does not trade in sick or misrepresented animals), a good way to check is to look at the faunaclassifieds.com board of inquiry(BOI). Also, it is winter. I don't know where you live, but I wouldn't want anyone shipping a live reptile in any weather below 45 degrees. I live in minnesota, and that basically means I can't order reptiles online until march at the very earliest, if spring cooperates.

If you have a pastel het hypo I would suggest acquiring a het hypo female to have a chance at producing a Pastel hypo.
Or any arrangement contained within those genetics.
