I love them.
I've always wanted a hognose, they'er so cute.
Maybe in the future, my house is already filled tot he top with reptile cages, lol. but hey, what's one more right?

Never to early and can never have too many cages. Heck, i'll find you a ten gal if you really want a hogger! lol. They are great little guys.

nice looking snakes! seeing these pics and reading up on them really makes me want to get a western hognose instead of a ball for my first snake.

Well, hognoses are great frirst snakes. I have hognoses, BP's, and Red tails and a hognose was my first snake. Awesome little guys but they usually require a little more attention than BP's so they don't get 'hissy' but less attention that red tails because of humidity issues.
Totally worth it either way. i just like scarring novices and telling them not to pick up my 'venemous' hognose

lol well the more attention part doesn't bother me. trust me, i'd be wanting to handle him/her daily if possible.
i even found a couple breeders that are pretty close by, the hard part is convincing the wife.
