Re: Bear Grylls just killed a Boa!!

I much prefer survivorman. That guy isn't followed around by a film crew, and actually is just all about hiking through wilderness on his own with limited supplies, and doing it for real.

Survivorman unfortunately went off the air and he is filming a new series on Animal Planet, and will be working on some new survival series and a new book.

Apparently there were more people that wanted the excitement and gross factor in MvW and not enough people that wanted to see real survival methods.

Survivorman's competition with MvW was not the only reason. Actually surviving all the time was taking a harsh toll on his body. It is kind of hard to stay healthy when you really do what you say you are doing.

Yeah, I have always liked Survivor Man better. Bear has a team of camera men a crew with him. The Survivor Man does it all alone. They drop him off and give him X number of days before they come looking for him.

I personally don't enjoy watching him kill reptiles in particular... I remember watching an episode where he killed an alligator by cutting it's throat, It was terrible! lol I was watching with my little cousin (5 years old and also in love with reptiles) and he started crying because of it lol but i guess if he's Really starving out in the wild and has no other choice, i would probably do the same thing

Thing is, he isn't starving, it isn't real. Watch the videos posted on this thread.

I also agree with the original poster, animals shouldn't be killed for entertainment.

Re: Bear Grylls just killed a Boa!!

Bear Grylls is fake, so why kill apex predators? There is absolutely no reason and it's just morally wrong.

Also, when Grylls eats grubs he makes it extra slimy.
When Les Stroud, Survivorman, eats a grub, he says they don't taste so bad.

    I hate Bear Grylls, he's a phony.

Agreed. I like watching both...but for very different reasons. I like Survivorman for...survival...I like MvW for watching a dumbass do things that I would never do in the wild/survivor mode....they are far too risky....one big thing he does all the time is jump in the water....no....stay dry. Survival 101.
