Re: OCHO'S FIRST SHED-BLUSHING(w/me)
Eyecaps definately came off...
I there is a guy who is a "Veterean" at reptileforums.com that recommended trying the "bath after blue" method...as in, let her play/gentle rub while in appropriatly warm water and it will help the shed. In Indiana in the winter it is very hard to keep the humidity at a nice level for shedding, I'm sure you understand being in Canada. Ocho really didn't mind it, but I can definately understand where other Balls may not appreciate that....Thanks so much for the advice!
PS...I only put up the poop to see if I got any comments about irregularities/odd looking "waste"...just wanting to make sure she is doing perfect! So sorry for the poop-pics! Haha

Bathing during a shed cycle is especially bad since the bath tends to leach the oils from their skin and can create a difficult shed
I also live in a place that has *very* low humidity year round (the high desert). You can keep the humidity up by putting damp sphagnum moss into each of the hides, as well as a little bowl of it right in the tank. Also, switching from the reptile carpet to another substrate will help the humidity.
How are you measuring the humidity levels in the tank? Do you know what the humidity is in there? If so, you need to get it up to about 50-60% all the time

Oh i definitely know what you mean by humidity.. To be honest, I have my pastel in a tub and I don't have that problem anymore.. In my aquarium, different story.. MAYBE 30% max! It's annoying but oh well..
My mojave and spider will be in tubs as well.
Maybe try it out! Cheers!
