Gotta Zune? DON'T TURN IT ON!!!!
A friend of mine just came up to me and asked me if my Zune was frozen up like so many others of the old 30g units. It was working fine a couple of days ago, so I turned it on and now it's stuck on the power on screen. I guess there is no way to turn it off now, you just have to wait for the battery to die.
This kind of bites, I like my little brown zune...

Re: Gotta Zune? DON'T TURN IT ON!!!!
My friend broke two of her ipods so decided to try a zune.
She went through 3 of them, which broke for different reasons that were not her fault.
She bought an ipod again. Theres a lot of faults with Zunes, and they tried to catch up to ipod technology a bit to fast I think, and didn't have the same amount of time to work out all the bugs that Apple did.
Good luck.

Haha, the reason that the players went down is because of a programming error that didn't take into consideration that 2008 was a leap year with 366 days in it.... Microsofts 'fix' for the problem is to let the battery die, then plug it in tomorrow around noon to charge it back up. Since it'll be the 1st day of the new year the day won't be a problem anymore and it should start up correctly. Haha, how wonderfully 'technical' you just gotta love Microsoft.....
