    That is why I say some of the people should examine their motives. I am not referring to anyone calling for this guys death. Obviously that is just as you say. The specific things that I mentioned are I believe something different though.

    Hi,

    This thread is rapidly turning into a prime "quarantine room" candidate - if that is something you do not want (though I can't think why it is important TBH ) then consider it when composing your posts perhaps?

    Or would you actually prefer it to be moved?

    On a side note;
    It may be quarantine worthy already, but no ones really getting in heated debates as much as they were in mid-thread. Maybe in a page or two if it doesn't die down.

    Re: Someone find and kill this man.

    You know it's funny... I watched the whole thing just now, this time NOT after having just read snake forums for half an hour. And if you take a step back it really just seems like a happy, simple guy catching turtles to cook up for a meal.

    ...When maybe two hours ago, when I first watched this, I saw someone with no respect for the turtles just throwing them around like sacks of potatoes. "Those poor turtles!" I was thinking.

    It's really amazing what reading forums can do to your head, huh?

    I don't mean that in a bad way. As a pet hobbyist it's so easy to get caught up about trying treat our pets and our feeders as humanely as possible. Which is great by the way (nobody go accusing me of torturing my mice please!), but I feel sometimes like human relationships with animals - the pets and the food - are two sides of the same coin... Anybody hear me on this? I'm not a hunter but maybe those of you who hunt can chime in on this kind of thing.

    I understand where you are coming from, but I strongly disagree with you. The mistreatment of animals that are meant for food is still wrong. Even if it's 'going to die anyways' it still currently feels pain when you hit it or throw it. It is inhumane and the animals should be treated with more respect. This is why I am a vegetarian and why many others are, because animals are not treated properly before they die.
    And when it comes to hunting, there are many many rules for hunting. Some are not followed, but you risk losing your hunting license if you show off your animals in a disrespectful manner. I have hunted turkey and deer before, and it is important to be as respectful as possible.
    Many good hunters out there would look at that man with distaste because he is putting their sport/hobby to a bad name. Standing on a turtle and throwing them across a pond to watch them bite each other in my opinion is no better than pitbull fighting or rooster fighting. Disrespectful and cruel.

    Even if he has learned to do it that way, his lack of respect is uncalled for, and I doubt he cares or respects the animals in any way. Which, the American Indians, very much did.

    Edit: Wow, can't use the correct word, cause technically rooster is kind of incorrect. I thought anyway.
