    help with RI please

    i need to know how to check for Ri for my ball...i jus got him saturday dec 20...and i know im suppoosed to let him rest for about a week without contact from me or trying to feed him...i just dont know if the little bit of smudges on the glass are from the moisture of him leaning on the glass or if hes spitting up mucus..... he doesnt have any snot bubbles...nor do i hear of coughing type sounds or weezing of any kind...im just really worried..... what i meant by checking is how or should i open his mouth to check for a exsessive amount of mucus... please please respond asap i need you guys!!!

    Typical signs of ri is excessive yawning, gapping his mouth open, laying with their head propped straight up, mucus or bubbles coming out of the mouth, and the popping, wheezing, and coughing sounds. You can open its mouth and look for excessive mucus.

    Do the marks look like he's "slimed" the enclosure? If so, you may wish to look for an exotics vet in your area and get them to do a swab for you.
