    What the heck just happen?

Ok, so my snake didn't eat for two months, then I fed him last friday and he finally ate and proceeded by shedding today(no problems here). I was planning on feeding him tomorrow. All my temps are correct (80-83 cool side, 90-94 warm side).

However..just now I heard loud...um...noises. well, at first I thought someone knocked down metallic objects outside of my room. Then I realized the sound is coming from his tub...which was pretty trippy.
My guess is that he farted? i have no idea...but it didn't sound like a fart. It was very loud...and the sound came 3-4 times. I don't even know how to describe it. I thought he was dying
When I opened the tub, he was stretched out with his mouth open as if readjusting his jaw. There was poo in there...so I'm guessing it WAS a fart...so either my snake took the biggest and loudest crap of his life or something is really wrong with him. Oh and the newspaper is COMPLETELY wet.

I had a BCI poo so loudly I heard it from another room once. I'd guess thats what happened here.

Re: What the heck just happen?

Between the noise and the fact that he was stretched with his mouth open I would suspect something else but I might be wrong.

Often advanced stage of RI will sound like a snake farting, being stretched and opening his mouth this way sounds like open mouth breathing to me, which are also associated with RI

When you open your snake’s mouth do you see any mucus?

Of course since no one can diagnose a snake online I can only encourage you to take your animal to a vet and have him checked.

Our RTB which is almost 5 feet long now, took a doo like that just about a month ago. Of course his doos are BIG. I hope that is all that it was. He probably felt better after that! LOL!

I actually had the same thing happen with my boy Stan. Did it almost sound like a cat coughing up a hairball or similar and was really loud?

This is the thread when my guy did it - http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=73229

They came to the conclusion that he was farting as well.

I was worried it could be that, but my snake has never been sick and he looks just fine. I checked his mouth, inside his mouth. No mucus, no breathing problems.

To be honest, it kinda looked like he was concentrating really hard on pooping lol.

But the sound was straight up scary(trippy). Scary in the sense of me being scared for the snake. hah

What would he throw up tho? All I saw in his tub were urates and poo. The newspaper was wet, but that was probably due to the raised humidity and the water bowl being empty.

Btw, what do people mean by stargazing? Is that a sign of something?
