How many clutches did you get in your first year breeding?

My first year was 1 clutch (Lemon Pastel x SK Axanthic) and last year I had several breeding pairs but only 6 clutches and this year I've got 16 breeding pairs.

My hope is to stay at around 30.....

Seems to atleast double every year though

1-3 is a good starting number IMO.

30 is about my end goal as well. I doubt I'll be able to stay at 30 but that's the goal. This year if everything goes perfect I will have 25 clutches this year, but more realistically I would guess 18-20 since a lot of my females are young and may not take. My problem is that I have too many double recessive combos going in my head.

This year will be my first. I'll have 1. I hope!
Next year plan to do three or four. Right now I'm planning for my top to be 10-15. I want to stay small but still have fun with some morphs. I might breed other kinds of snakes also. I'd like to try some live bearers too.

so you have three your first year and expecting 30+ this year and you started breeding what 5 years ago??? thats a great growth no matter how many years its been. You go girl

Our first year we had 1 clutch of Pastel het SKA(Don Juan) to normal(Lucky).

She laid 8 eggs and 4 went bad about a week in to incubation and I didn't know how to seperate them so after consulting with a few breeders we sprinkled anit-fungal foot powder on the bad ones and the other 4 hatched out fine. We got 0.1 pastel 50%het SKA and 2.1 normal 50% het SKA.

Well my first year was several years ago... so I'm just going to say this is my first season all over again since I haven't bred any snakes since then.

I am planning on only one clutch this year (unless I get a breeder female hypo).

My first year I had 5 and all hatched out perfectly. Whoo hoo! This year I'm hoping for 20. Lots of 3+ year old virgins this season. Can't wait!

I had two clutches my first season and I'll probably have six this year if everything goes as planned.
