good to know, should i get two 30 breeders to give them enough room to be comfortable and introduce them to breed them ? im sure i can find use of the current 20G long... more space for more

Are you more interested in something that's aesthetically pleasing or in something that will be cheap, easy to clean, and easy to replace, more comfortable for the snake as a whole(imho) or...?

honestly one of my favorite parts of this hobby is setting up enclosures, personally i dont mind the maintenance, and it helps keep me busy... i dont like being idle, i really like going with a natural themed setup, and even though its a bit pricier i like the tanks as show pieces in my room... call me silly if you want , but compared to saltwater this hobby is cheap

Alright, well, they need, at minimum, two identical hides(one on the hot side[90-94F] and one on the cold side[~80-86F]), a water bowl(duh), and some sort of substrate that will help keep humidity in. Humidity should range approximately 50-70%.

If you want an inexpensive setup, some plastic tubs from Lowes, a cheap water bowl, a Sterilite tub, an uth, a thermostat and a snake.

Now if you're going for aesthetics, that gets a bit more pricey. I'm pretty sure aspen is the bedding of choice around these parts. You can get really nice rock hides from http://www.reptilesupply.com/index.php?cPath=31_35 or from www.lllreptile.com or http://www.bigappleherp.com

You can also get other accessories from most of these cites too.

Temps are the same requirements for this as well.

thank you, not my first snake, first ball python, i had a 3' brown decay snake, that had a live clutch of 46... lol, i gave a few away... thats it as far as snakes go, had a few anoles, an iguana, turtles, i guess working at an exotic pet shop always had me interested in herps, we had a few exotics, alligator snapping turts, big monitors, a few venomous, a green anaconda, alot of fun stuff... but now (3 years after working there) im getting back into the hobby big, should be some fun stuff coming

-Winces a little bit.- Please don't keep them together. You'll hear it much more bluntly from other people, but there are numerous reasons why you should NOT be keeping multiple snakes in one enclosure.
1. The chance of cannibalism.
2. The stress factor.
3. Them vying for the warmest spots.

Just to name a few.

Most definitely. -Grins.- I get to pick up my temp guns after Christmas. Mwahaha. That, and I'll be saving up more money for another rack system. -Cackles.-

And if you ever decide you just want to do really inexpensive enclosures, plastic's the way to go. Most of the people here will vouch for that. ^_^

oh, well.... I have racks, but I really like my Reptile Basics 3x2x1 cages
It is so nice to see my snakes come out at night and slither around!! These cages are really well made and hold temp and humidity very well and (my) snakes all feel very secure in these cages
