100% het albino x normal female= what % het?
Ok since my Albino male is not so amerous yet what % chance do I have getting hets from that pairing?

Re: 100% het albino x normal female= what % het?
Each egg has a 50% chance of being a het.
Same odds as getting pastels from a pastel to normal breeding if that helps at all.
Hope this helps.

There's no way to tell the hets from the normals. In my opinion all 50% should be considered normal. Until proven.

Re: 100% het albino x normal female= what % het?
Just giving you a hard time but if you consider them normals why would you try to prove them?
I think I understand what people who say that about considering possible hets normals are getting at (don't get your hopes up, don't spend a lot extra for them) but there sure seems to be polar opposite ways of looking at possible hets. I get the idea that some people are so worried about the chance that they will not prove that they would rather get normals at the same price than try possible hets and risk missing. I'd ALMOST rather have a possible het than a known het at the same price to have the chance to prove the possible het.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but it's just for a second!
So, since only one of the parents is 100% het, what if both are 100% het for albino? Would that mean that all eggs in the clutch will also be het for albino? Like, say six eggs were laid. Five are normal, one is an albino. Would all the normals be 100% het?

100 % het albino x 100% het albino will give you albinos and 66% het albinos

This can be a confusing statment. All of the non albino's eggs have a 66% chance of being het albino. All of the normal looking offspring would either be het albino or normal.
