    Possible leo breeding

    Hey

I was getting ready for bed turned out my geckos lights crawled in bed. My geckos were on opposite sides of the tank in shelters. Then 2 minutes laying in bed i herd a scrathing sound i think it was the males tail like when they are chasing crickets. I tuned on a small light and they were right by each other. Do you think they might be breeding or getting ready to breed. Thanks

    Pat

    Re: Possible leo breeding

The male will vibrate his tail loudly, a noise that can't be mistaken once you hear it and he will aggressively nibble the length of the female and attempt to mount her. She will either accept him or back him off, which may have occurred just before you looked. If that is the case, the male will persist. However, normally they breed from February through August or September. Their breeding cycles can and do get out of whack sometimes though.
