First time attending a Reptile show, Have ?
So i am planning on attending the Hamburg Reptile show tomorrow and i had a few questions. I want to pick up this stuff:
New UTH
Bedding
2 or 3 Cheap Thermometers
Some Lights
2 Hides
and some decorations.
Maybe a new tank.
Do you think i will get all this stuff cheaper at my local pet stores or drive the 40 miles to the show. if the show is cheaper are they really good deals or just a dollar cheaper here and there.

An easy way toe keep it cheap.....
Don't buy the lights....there are no need for them other than asthetic.
Buy some ziploc tuppers....cut a hole and spray paint black......for hides.
Go with heattape rather than UTH. Heattape is cheaperand easier to maintain.

I have a nice breeder but i just wanted to check what is out there. I have a 40 breeder, do you think i can heat that without lights, only using heat tape? do you think anyone will be selling heat tape? i really want to get rid of the lights on my tank.

My experience at shows has been this;
If you want selection, go early.
If you want good deals, be there for the closing hours of the show.
At least around here, in the closing hours of the shows the majority of the dealers begin really slashing the prices to dump stuff before they have to pack it all back up again. We got Mr Biggles that way. He was $145. marked down to $50. during the last hour of the reptile show. He's a 6 foot Colombian male boa. That goes for all the bells and whistles that go along with herping too for the most part.
Hope that helps. Oh yeah, Mr. Biggles hisses "good luck".

HEattape comes in different sizes so It should work just fine. Lights are dangerous to snakes due to the fact they can touch the wire top and burn their heads.
