Re: do you have a high gold, normal ball python?
She is very pretty, it would be better to see an unaltered pic of her to get a true idea of her colors. You can see in the edge of the pic (but looking at the other objects) where it has been lightened.
I know I do that trying to adjust the pic to get it a bit clearer, so that is not a criticism. Just one of the pains of working with incandescent lighting, etc.
This is my girl Naomi. A CH girl that I got in a trade, like your Belle (accordinging to your other post) that gets brighter and lighter with each shed. She isn`t big on blushing but her colors are very punchy. When I first got her she was just the better looking of two snakes that were presented. I took her for the bit of a stripe and she has amazed me with every shed.
Bruce
PS: And yes, the pic was edited, but it was just to try and clean it up a bit, it is a close to accurate representation of her colors.
PPS: I would think your girl has some granite-velvet going on...

Re: do you have a high gold, normal ball python?
You guys are making my gold male look dull!! Geez...
I do have one 'high gold' normal male...but I'm waiting to get newer pictures of him after a shed.
As for lighter and lighter as they grow, I have one that fits that bill as well. My first BP, young normal female, has gotten a) more granite-like speckling, b) lighter in the yellow areas, and c) white edging creeping higher along her sides. I'll try to get a picture of her tomorrow when I clean cages.
So, I will endeavor to get new pictures tomorrow and post them ASAP.

yes, the right side of the pic is a little dull, you can tell by looking at her black. the picture wasn't altered, it was taken with my phone, so the colors aren't spot on. could you clarify granite-velvet? i know you guys can see the graniteness. and thanks for the comments!!

After I typed that I thought it might be a camera phone... they seem to take pictures that are almost as bad as the original web cams. Either way she is a pretty snake.
Granites have spots in their alien heads, and velvets are one of those hard to really say markings... maybe genetic maybe not... they just look a bit less like spots but more like small "bleeds" of color.
