I'm a Little Worried.....
My female ball python ate last Wednesday 11/12/08 and hasn't been out of her hide since then (at least that I have seen). I have noticed that she was going into a shed because her color was very dull/greyish.
She is due to eat tonight - should I disturb her to offer her food or just let it go until she is thru her shed.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

You could offer her food she might take it,to give her a boost of energy to shed,or she might not.If not let her be,if she is in shed lighty mist the cage to aid the sheding procdure.

Doesn't hurt to try..
But don't be upset if she doesn't eat.

I would go ahead and offer food - worst that can happen is she refuses

i always offer food while they are in shed, but like everybody says if they dont eat dont worry, skipping a feeding is ok.

Re: I'm a Little Worried.....
Great - thanks to you all for your help. I have been misting the cage to keep the humidity higher. This is only her second shed since I've had her and the first didn't go too well - I had to assist with warm baths.
Since then, she has been moved to an RBI Cage so I am hoping for much better results but she seems to be a lazy shedder - doesn't want to do the work - LOL!!!

Re: I'm a Little Worried.....
Hey Everyone, I just had to update you all on what happened last night - I offered Bella her weekly feeding even though she was in the midst of a shed - she took the food readily.
By morning, she had pooped and peed - plus totally shed her skin in one piece with eyecaps and all.
I was sooo excited to see the complete shed - just wanted to share with you.

Re: I'm a Little Worried.....
Thanks Mike,
This was only her second shed since I got her - the first shed didn't go too well because I was keeping her in a glass aquarium that was impossible for me to regulate everything properly but then I got an RBI cage (which I just love) and everything worked like clock work.
It was sooo amazing to see that skin from tip of her nose all the way to the very tip of her tail intact - very cool. Both eyecaps came off beautifully too.
