Cant seem to sex
I have a male or supposedly a male that i have been putting in with known female. I told someone that they was not showing any interest and he told me to re sex them. I know the female is a female bc i watched a guy probe her but he just looked at the bottom of the other and said it was male without doing anything. I have watched some of the videos on how to pop but nothing seems to be working for me. Any suggestions?

find someone experienced to probe or pop to make sure.. It is the only way to be 100% positive.

Will Bird is I believe the current President of the Kentucky Herpetological Society. Check this link for his and other officers contact info.

If you are having problems sexing, one of the KHS members may well be able to direct you to someone local to you that could both help you learn how to do this and also confirm gender on those snakes for you.

Re: Cant seem to sex
You could also take the snake to the vet

Re: Cant seem to sex
Make sure though before you spend that cash on a vet that they actually have herp experience including sexing either by popping or probing. Never be worried about asking for a vet's direct, hands on experience when it comes to working with "exotics" like snakes.

Remember also that this is early in the season. I have a known female spider who I have been pairing with a known male pastel and there has been totally no interest thus far. Bummer.
