Re: Our lil Pistachio
Cute snake who looks like he's ready to have a bad shed.
Get the humidity up and read this: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=43403.

Yep, you need to be misting that enclosure once or twice a day. and include a nice bowl of water that the snake can get in and out of easilly.
Definitely looks like a VERY dry snake!

Re: Our lil Pistachio
Pistachio is an awesome name for him! He definitely needs a soak and assist to get all that stuck shed off him - he looks uncomfortable!

Re: Our lil Pistachio
Hi,
Looking a lot better.
He still looks a little dehydrated though (the folds running along his body are often a sign of that) so make sure to keep his humidity up and if it doesn't go away I would probably give him another soak or two.

Re: Our lil Pistachio
what should the humidity be at? its at about 80% at the moment which seems pretty high already...we're misting him about 2 times a day

Re: Our lil Pistachio
Hi,
50%-60% is fine normally and most people bump it up to 60%-70% during the shed cycle.
Give him a day or so to see if the folds go away first though before doing anything as he was just soaked.
