    excessive shedding

I have a 10 year old bp who has been shedding roughly every 4-6 months for the last 2 years or so.

She shed less than a month ago, and is now about to shed again. Her eating patterns were relatively normal, the only difference is that she ate 10 mice over 2 feedings in the week prior to her last shed, instead of her usual 4 or 5 in one feeding per week.

I've had her since she was about 8 weeks old, and she reached her full size at least 5 years ago.

I can't find any information through google that would indicate why she's shedding again so soon. As this is my first snake, I have no precedent to compare against.

Any suggestions as to why she's shedding again so soon?

I'm not quite sure I'm reading your statement right about the 10 mice over 2 feedings but I can tell you that a large meal can induce a shed cycle regardless of when the last shed was.

I would agree it could be the amount of the food shes taking in.. Hows her sheds going? any stuck eye caps or anything? That can also induce the next shed faster in my experience
