I can't help but notice you used the term "evolution" in there. Are you implying we devolve? Should we ditch cars and go back to the days of horse and buggy as well? Should we no longer wash our hair and wear those deplorable white wigs?
Just messin' but I think my point is valid.

I totally agree! I was hinting at that there is a bit of nostalgia for "the way things used to be" and often times that includes language as well.

I day dream about living like that all the time! Well, not exactly, but just about living in a simpler time with less distractions. Like if I could just be a humble village blacksmith.
Then I snap back to reality and realize how easy we have it compared to our ancestors. And also, I don't think I could make it for more than a few days without the internet.
That's probably why I love fantasy RPGs like Oblivion, Morrowind, Fable, etc. I love that kind of stuff, but don't want the real danger and hardships that come with.

I also can't stand the loose / lose thing either.
I always read the word that is written and pronounce it in my head as I read. It bothers me to no end when people loose something rather than LOSE.

Just hang loose and don't lose it!

I chose not to choose and now I can't tell lose from loose.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?
