1/4in screen???

Can mice and ASFs really eat out of 1/4" screening????

I picked some up tonight to make some hoppers out of but it just looks so small....

They most definatley can. I've even seen regular rats do it!

No cuts needed. I'm not sure about ASFs but mice have no trouble eating from 1/4". If they are similar in size, I'm sure you won't have a problem.

I am also concerned with this, so what I did was put a cup over the food so that its all together and pressure from the top will push down on the bottom ones. I hope this works!

You can use PVC. Depending on how many mice you have in a tub, you may need something larger. I just built a square food hopper for the front of my rack frames. I never had a problem with mice eating through 1/4".
