If You want Him to be a Pet Boa and not Bite You, You can do it. Just hold him when ever You get a chance. watching Tv or just to look at Him. Wear a glove If You want and leave that glove in with Him. Just take it out when feeding so he doesn't end up eating it and smell it and this glove = Food.
I can't say enough about how to handle a boa untill he's claim down. Just hold him alot. If You but him around Your neck, ahh with todays media don't do it. Just if he's close to Your face don't blow hot air at him. I'd hate to hear You were bit in the face. I only have one Boa thats a Pet and shes never bit anyone and I trust she wouldn't bite anyone, unless they had rabbit smell or rat smells on them...
Most of my Boas are not really pets I' can't hold them all . They want one thing when I walk into there room food, and they stare me down waiting for that Door to thier cage to open.. Just the one doesn't do that ,she never knows when she maybe picked up and taken out.. Good luck with Your Boa. If You want him tame just hold him more. He will stop striking at You.. Scouts Honor.lol

i have to agree. i mainly work with boas, and the key to calming them down is being patient and very consistent. hold them as much as you can. and it will eventually calm them down. you may have to take a few hits, but it is worth it in the long run and doesn't really hurt. there are some tho that just wont calm down and are eventually look don't touch snakes.
