Up and coming on the music scene...

Any other music lovers out there? (Dumb question, I know) My friend Tom plays bass in a band called Red Line Chemistry. They've been mainly playing small shows around the midwest, but have been gaining momentum and I'm convinced that 2009 will be their break-out year. They released their first album, "Chemical High and a Hand Grenade" in 2006, and it was VERY well received. Their first single, "The Empty" was added to the regular rotation on the local hard rock station, bringing them a lot more attention. They were invited to open a music festival (Rockfest) in Kansas City in 2007, where they received rave reviews, and started gaining more and more attention. Early this year, they signed on with a new management company and got back in the studio to record their second album, Escape Plan. The were invited back to Rockfest 2008, and once again, killed it. They went back to work on Escape Plan, and scheduled a release for September. In the meantime, they were picked up to open two more big music festivals, Summer Slam in Kansas City and Pointfest in St. Louis. The album released a couple weeks ago, and it's awesome! They played Summer Slam and Pointfest last weekend, and I have heard nothing but positive reviews. Anyway, the point of my long winded post is that they're starting to branch out even more and will be playing three shows with Saving Abel in October and November in the Southwest (TX, NM, and CO).

Anyway, anyone who likes music and maybe wants to check out a new band, here are their links. Take a look, have a listen, add them on your myspace, buy some CDs or tshirts or whatever.

Oh, and just so you know, I am not affiliated with the band and I stand to gain NOTHING from this. I'm just very impressed with what I see coming from them and want to help get the word out as much as I can...

Thanks for taking the time to read this and check em out...

The singer has a pretty good voice, kind of reminds me of Maynard from Tool. I never got into those satanic pop rock acts, though. I'd personally rath rock Deicide if I'm in that kind of mood. They better hurry up and get rich soon, before that red on black/studded jewelry fad is pushed aside for the next one. They have some talent, though.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?
