Re: why do you own ball pythons
I take my snake Kyros out in public to educate people about snakes. In my opinion lizards are the B-O-R-I-NG ones. Yeah my snake hides but you can take them places and they just chill on your shoulder. I'm taking Kyros to the Renfest this sunday if its warm enough . I don't like Lizards. They are no where near as cool as snakes.. Wow they have legs... so does everything else on the planet mostly. Hehe and when your snake learns to trust you, you can take it places when the weather is nice. They will drink from a cup while you hold them and even let you give them a massage!

The whole experience has been great as well as a lot of work so far.
I think my favorite thing of all is raising a snake. Watching it grow from this tiny creature and seeing how the coloration and pattern progresses with age.
I couldn't have said it better!

I whole heatedly agree. Just bought a jungle pastel from Adam Wysocki and I am totally stoked.

Jasper was my first snake. I got him 1993. I presume he was WC. He'll be with me til the very end, but I highly doubt I'll ever purchase another BP. They bore me.

You forgot the category, "Inherited from your child who eventually left home for college and left the snake behind." Of course, she really had no choice and now that she has an apartment, I won't let her have it! Just because she comes home all summer and for vacations and stuff. Can't be moving that baby around all the time!
