Has anyone had a pet shipped?
My normal baby ball python died a week ago and I ordered a VPI Pastel male 2005 proven breeder from Adam at 8 ball pythons. Has anyone done business with him? I talked to Adam today and he said the snake is in shed so after shed I'll take some pics. I was also wonder how shipping is on a snake?

When coming from a reputable breeder/dealer, shipping is no problem at all for the snakes. And with Adam, you can't go wrong. The snake will come to you very safe and secure.

Thanks for giving me a peice of mind. I'm still worried that fedex will mess up.

Animal shipped to me? Yes many times and never had an issue
From Adam? Yes the animal and packaging are both amazing no worry there, I have purchased from him in the past, have some girls on payment plans right now and will without a doubt get more animal from him in the future.

Well, there's always that chance. Not even the best can control what happens once the box is in the hands of Fed Ex. However...99% of the time, everything goes just fine. There's always SOME risk involved. If you were to drive to a pet store and buy one...you might get in an accident on the way home with it. Anything can happen.
One hint on accepting your Fed Ex delivery. One of the most common problems I've heard of is when the delivery guy is in too much of a hurry to actually ring a doorbell and wait for someone to answer. So, post a big note on the door that explicitly says someone IS home and they should ring and knock loudly and wait for the door to be answered. Then be sure you're watching and listening closely to catch them before they can run away.

Re: Has anyone had a pet shipped?
i just got my first BP shipped to me 2 months ago, It is doing very well. It was sent overnight and I just made sure I was there for the delivery with the cage ready. The snake will be just fine and adam is a good breader, so don't worry.

I don't meant to hi jack the thread, but I have a related question.
How long does it usually take for the snake to be shipped out after you order it or is that something you set up with whoever you are ordering from?

How I set it up with Adam is what will work out with both of our scedules. With any breeder that's how it should be. I travel for my job but usually only gone for 24-36 hours so I took 3 days off to get this one.
