    Blue Eyed Leucistic

So far there are Mojave, Lesser Platinum, Butter, Russo Het and also Phantom(when bred to a lesser anyway) are ways/combinations that produce Blue eyed Leucistics and with this I'm for seeing a problem.....

Does anyone else think that it could possibly cause problems as to the genetics of a BEL, i mean there are several ways to produce a BEL and not all of these are the same value....do you think that people could possibly take advantage of this?
or is this me thinking too much into this??

    What is your opinion?

Has anyone tried to breed 2 BELS together that are from different hets? Thats the problem I can see what if you have a male BEL from breeding mojaves, and you have a female BEL from breeding butters, and you breed the 2 BEL's together what happens then? If you dont get BELS then obviously even though the snakes look the same that means they are actually different morphs....

Well, if you breed a Mojave Bel to a Butter Bel, you will get all bels, that are all Mojave/Butter bels. The bel passes on the genes to all of its offspring so there would be no worry about one being only a mojave bel and one being only a butter bel in the same clutch.

Now back to the OP. I really can see this happening, but not on purpose. If some breeds a two triple thread combos or what ever than in more than one way make a bel, THEN you would have a problem. Hopefully someone can cover this in more detail- Matt

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

They'll end up like having Het Albinos. You have to breed them to prove they are what the seller said they were.

If you bred whatever BEL to a normal, the offspring will tell you what the BEL is.

Also, the crosses look slightly different than a Homozygous Mojave or Homozygous Lesser. Unfortunately, not too many honest pictures of what these snakes look like, but if you do know the differences, you'll know what you're getting.
