As the old saying goes, pick, lick and flick. One of my old teachers was endorsed with that charming nick name. It was true, he was seen on occasion to pick, lick and flick his snotters. Fair play to him.

About 2 years ago, my mom, my dad, my wife, my daughter, and myself were in Savannah Georgia for a little vacation, and were sightseeing some of the historic squares in Savannah. These are beautiful squares, they were the backdrop for alot of the movie "Midnight in the garden of Good and Evil", but they have a problem of attracting quite a few panhandlers, who will pull out a bottle of whiskey or their drink of choice and start chugging with no inhibition at all in front of whoever is there. Well long story short, we are standing there in one of the squares looking at an awesome fountain which was in the middle, when one of the homeless men (with an expensive bottle of liquor??? explain that one) came up and sat down on the bench beside us, opened up his bottle and started throwing it back. My dad was holding Caitlin (our little girl), she was about 4 at the time, and my dad stood up and said "come on Caitlin its times to go, theres a whino(sp?)". He said this under his breath, but Caitlin heard and and responded "I want to pet the whino" HAHAHA. Ofcourse with a childs innocent mind, she is thinking Rhino, but it was hilarious none the less. Little ones, gotta love em!!

While I was in my stand I over heard a mom telling her little kid that she need to leave. The kid( maybe 4?) said that she was staying. The mom told her " Fine im leaving you! Im takeing your floatys too" and the kid replys back " Fine! I can still swim though because the lifegaurd is here so its ok"

I laughed and told the mom " I guess its ok to drown as long as you have a good time first, get saved later"

Oh lord I don't miss the little nose miner days at all! Thankfully our youngest never did pick up that habit because of all things a mom has to deal with for some reason snot makes me just go green at the gills. I can deal with blood, poop, whatever....boogers make me go ICK! One of my older kids used to use me as a handy booger wiping station. Drove me nuts!

You have just given me a silver lining to my nose picking cloud. I haven't had any wiped on me yet. I shall now count my blessings in that department.
