Swapping hets to mix up the genetics

How readily do people trade out hets for other hets to mix up the blood lines? I hope to produce some het caramels this year and would love to mix the blood line. Keep the chance for kinks down. I would imagine it would take great trust with someone in order to swap hets out. Is this a fairly common practice?

I think most just sell what they produce and buy other unrelated hets from someone else.

Keeps money trading hands. That's a part of the driving force of most breeders. We'd all like to do this for a living I'm sure.
