Re: how many eggs doe BD lay?

Mine lay between 20-30 per clutch. I had four clutches about 106 hatched eggs from one female Sandfire this year. Last year she hatched about 70. This doesnt count a few slugs and eggs that didnt make it.

I would continue to breed inbetween clutches, there is no guarantee the sperm will survive for the next clutch although its possible.

Re: how many eggs doe BD lay?

ok thanks very much that fills in that answer. the reason i asked is because a friend of mine has 2 beardies and they believe their female to be gravid she has gotten quite fat recently and is less actively going for food, and they wanted to clarify the number of babies they may possibly be getting and when they come they were going to give me one. I already have one but it is very young and i donot know the sex i believe it to be a male because its color is very vivid do you know of any way to tell when they are young? mine is only about 4 or 5 inches long. the reason i would like to know the sex is because id like to get a baby of the opposite sex so that when they come of age i can breed them thank you for your help =)
