    sick sick sick!!!

    did i mention sick?

so ok 2 of my snakes refused 2 med rats that were defrosted. i threw them out (like usual) expecting the trash to be taken the next day. well the trash man (aka landlord) didnt come. so i have a trashcan full of maggots! the smell is bad enough to gag a maggot.. well ok the maggots arent gagging, sick lil things love that kinda stuff but you get my point.

my question is, what do you all do with the dead rats your snakes dont eat during the summer? has this ever happened to you? in the winter its not a problem as its too cold for even a smell nevermind maggots. i usually throw them back in the freezer and put um in the trash the night before the trash is taken. this is the first time the trash man hasnt came on time.

im thoroughly disgusted! is there anything i can do in the meantime to kill the smell? i poured boiling water on the lil buggers and killed what i could see in the can, im nottttt about to open the bags to deal with them LOL

    HELP lol

Well, thawed mice that have been refused get flushed so if the rat is small enough you can try that. Otherwise a deep hole is your best bet.
