What type of snake...

My girlfriend and I are looking into getting another snake sometime, and we wanted to get some suggestions as to what we should pick. Right now we have a normal rescue bp, and all is well. We are looking to pick something more eye catching and vibrant. We like the bp's, but we want something more colorful. Size is not too big of an issue, but nothing massive, which shouldnt be an issue as the smaller snakes tend to be the "cooler" looking ones. Right now I think our top choice is a GTP, but we wanted some more suggestions.

Price is definitely being considered, so keep that in mind.

GTP's can be pretty snippity from what I've heard but are GORGEOUS!

If you want something a little more docile but still colorful, check out some of the cornsnake morphs that are out now! Definitely easier on the pocket book than alot of other snake morphs!

If you like oranges, KSBs have some pretty color vibrancies. (but I think you want something bigger)

I know Brazilian Rainbow Boas are just brilliant in color (big but not too big as well!).. Corn snakes have a lot of color varieties as well.

There are specific types of boas, I'm not sure what kinds exactly that have purplish colorations. Unless you want to go for a bp morph.

Corn snakes have awesome colors. You just dont get those vibrant yellows and reds in BP's

How about these? They are actually avail as we have to get rid of them
They are both females '06 - very tame and curious/active eat voraciously and would come with nearly a years supply of F/T

Look into Ringed Pythons. They get to a decent size, and have a little girth to them. Their husbandry is a little advanced towards humidity and shedding, but they're gorgeous snakes! Bright red and jet black as babies...

If you can find someone who selectively breeds theirs for color, you may get some nice adults. Most mature into brown and black adults, but a nice, selectively bred animal will mature into a maroon and smoke black animal.

Feeding isn't a problem. This species is very voracious with food! Prices run around $175-350 a piece. Bob Clark has some VERY impressive looking adults. They do mature slowly though...something to keep in mind
