I think I have managed to convince my dad to let me get a RTB. "I'll be moving out in a year, before they get very big at all..."

Re: Anyone got an Angolan?
Last time I looked, a pair or a trio was about 5k. They're not found that often to begin with in the wild.
I wouldn't say it's better than owning a ball, just different.

That all depends on what you like. If you like mellow snakes (in general) then Ball Pythons are better. If you like a more curious snake then Angolans would fit the bill. If you're into morphs, ball pythons, if not, Angolan. If you don't want to have to worry about whether it will eat, Angolan...etc,etc.
This is from limited experience with 2 Angolans so take it for what it's worth. I just like the fact that they've got more "attitude" and curiosity. When all you have is ball pythons sometimes it's nice to have a snake that is more active.
I believe that male Angolans can be had for $1500.00 or less. You don't see many lone females for sale so I'm not sure what their prices would be.
