If you try feeding F/T again maybe you should skip the zombie dance part if he is scared. Just lay it down close to him where he can't miss it and hope the heat/scent will get him to strike. If he feels very calm and safe hopefully he will go for it.

We didn't do the zombie dance the whole time...when that didn't work we just left it in with him for about 20 min. & he just slithered around it and over it like it wasn't even there.

    Re: my Lestat won't eat!

    Guess what everybody!

Lestat finally ate last night! We decided to try again w/the live small mouse since he was eating live before...just slightly smaller prey. Besides, he had a growth spurt or something, he definitely appeared big enough in diameter to handle it. So...LEMME TELL YOU! He was a hungry boy!!! We use a feeding tub for Aussie, so we're using the same tub for Lestat. I put the mouse in for about 15 min. beforehand so he'd really smell the tub up & when i added Lestat to the tub i think he noticed the mouse within 30 seconds. He bit it right on the nose (so he didn't even have to reposition himself after), constricted right up and it was down the hatch about 5 min. later.

By the way, here's a picture of Lestat finally! Taken by the breeder...probably about 2 weeks old at the time...now 6 weeks...isn't he the cutest & most handsome?
