    Sexing question

    Hi.

I was popping babies last night and a couple of them were a little confusing... They were "in betweens" they had the length of small hemipenes but the pale color of female "knobs".

Do hemipenes always come out red?
Does lack of color always indicate female?

This is my third year breeding and it's the first time that I encounter this.

    Thank you for your time.

    Re: Sexing question

As it was explained to me, what your describing are scent glands. I always re-confirm my "female" babies several times. Once you see the male parts, they are defentlly male, but those girls can be tricky!

    Best of luck!

    Re: Sexing question

I have been searching the forums and can't find any pic of what an adult female vs male b/p looks like when poped. I have one that I think is a female, but when popped had very short white nubs. The guy popping the snake said male, the vet said female so I am confused.
