    Feeding time.

I just bought 2 smaller rats. is it ok to feed both of them in a row to my ball python? I just need to know. I was told to feed him once a month a large rat. And then told to feed him today these 2 rats. and in another 2 weeks do the same. and then switch to one rat a week. dous that sound ok?

Feed one, then after your BP has readjusted its jaw feed the other.

I think I would just feed one and then wait a week and feed the other and then continue with every 7 days

Good Job.... more often then not your snake will let you know when he does or doesn't want food.

    Re: Feeding time.

Good question. I don't know anybody who would feed a 200g snake a large rat
Going on the information, I *assumed* the snake had to be larger than 200g. Feeding a 'smaller' rat could well possible mean a rat that is about 40g (my smalls are 55g). This is not out of the ballpark for a snake- even a 200g snake!
Also, I don't know of anybody who has a little 200g snake that would feed an enormous 85g large rat to.... I gave the OP the benefit of the doubt for having brain matter

Do you have a gram scale that you could weigh her on (snake, not rat!) Keeping an accurate weight record takes all the guess work out of feeding and is also hugely important for any vet visits....
