Re: 3 BPs+hot car, no air+2 hour ride...

If you're worried about it, put them in a Styrofoam cooler with a cold pack wrapped in a towel. It should insulate them from the heat. I always transport my snakes in a styro cooler whether it's summer or winter. It keeps the temperature extremes to a minimum.

I would also go for the cool pack, and make sure whoever you get them from doesn't feed them before you come to get them.

You could also arrange to meet the breeder in the evening so the drive back is after dark.

When we haul chickens to shows we make a [swamp cooler]. Just take a big foam cooler and cut two holes in the lid one on both ends.We use those little 12 volt clamp on fan about $14 at a parts store. Then fill the cooler 3/4 full of ice and the fan taped over one hole turn it on high and the cool air comes out the other. This makes a big differents. Hope this helps.

Or wait for a rainy day, on a rainy day anywhere the northern half of the US, its like 73-75, even in the summer, so it wont be that bad if you can figure either of those things out. Just watch the 10 day forcast on weather.com, wait for a cool rainy day, Or just do the night thing.

If you don't have a cool pack; get a sponge, soak it in water, put it in a zip lock bag and toss it in the freezer. Works well in a pinch.

you could also get one of those mini fans that plug into the cigarette lighter to help circulate air for yourself and the snakes. when I moved to pa, I only had my corn snake. I kept him in his tank, put it into the back seat of my truck, had the windows open and drove. It was a very hot day when we moved, but he made it okay. I think as suggested, if your comfortable, the snakes should be as well.

I am getting one of those- I need one! lol Right after I buy the new fuse for it- I went camping and ad my GPA plugged in, and my dog pucked on it or fell on it or something (I have a bonneville, and the charge-thing is on the back of my center counsil), so I just need to fork up the $3for a new fuse. lol.

If you can go this week, the high temp is only in the 60's for the next 2 days and the 70's for the next 2 days after that. Even if you work every day a 4 hour round trip after work isnt much. Don't laugh at our weather you Southerners and Westerners.
