Just curious / (john?)
I love this site. I think the people running it have been doing a fantastic job. However, I can't help but notice lately that some moderators seem to be a little trigger happy as far as locking threads and banning members.
Kind of complicated really, because like I said I love this forum. I think it has been ran VERY well... Maybe I am just over reacting to recent things that have happened? What are your thoughts? Don't be afraid to vote your real feelings on this!!!!! There are good people running this site, and they are capable of taking feedback.
Sorry mods, didn't know where exactly this should have gone. Please don't ban me.
Mike

Re: Just curious
For the mostpart I think they do a great job. As far as John getting banned, all I can say is that I hope that decision was based on more than just the conflict tonight.

Re: Just curious
hmmmm... over 30 minutes, and 30 views and still no votes. This may be a poll where lack of votes speaks volumes.
You can't get in trouble for voting people!

I would normally never quote myself in a gloating way but WOW!!!, I am a writer tonight!! check out some of my quotes on this subject from my Private messages!
"If you don't like disagreement, you should be reading a book, not a forum!"
"If one has to disclose that his joke is a joke when telling the joke, is it really a joke???"
"Forums are a delicate balance of information and enternainment. You can't get the information across if it is so boring that nobody wants to read it!"

30 views doesn't mean 30 different people. If you click into a thread 5 times, that's 5 views.
For what it's worth...regarding this topic... we will always openly accept criticizem to make Ball-Pythons.net a better place. If you have opinions, concerns, questions, comments..we would be happy to hear them.

John received a ban based on his accumulation of infraction points. It has nothing to do with any specific thread--the system automatically places the ban when a user accumulates a certain number of points: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/a....php?f=89&a=15.

Re: Just curious
I personally haven't seen anything wrong with the way the mod's run the site. There are many forums on the internet available for people to join, if somebody doesn't like the way one is run they have a choice of not participating.
