    New Ball setup

Here are some pics of my setup. I just recently covered the sides and put the homemade cover over the screen...got the idea from this site! I had an 18' flouresent setup, but I took it down and I am just using the ambient light in the room as the light source...I dont think he liked the bright light. I have an undertank heat pad on a thermostat and the red heat lamp on top, used mostly for nocturnal viewing. I have a digital humidty gauge ordered, but I used the one out of my boas cage to test it and it stays around 55% since I covered the top. the tank is a 20 long. I am still waiting on him to eat, so maybe my new setup will make him feel a bit more secure. Any feedback would be appreciated as this is my first ball.

Looking good! I would suggest, tho, that you get a ceramic cat dish as a water bowl (shallower and harder to tip) and use blank newsprint or aspen bedding as opposed to the carpet. Carpet is harder to clean and can harbor bacteria easily. Just my suggestions, though. Nice little snake there as well.

Glad to be of service. That method Really does work to hold in heat and humidity in a glass tank. If you find your temps still fluctuate, try insulating the back and both sides with either cork or foam board.
